San Antonio

Well, our trip to SA was plain fantastic. We mostly ate...awesome food !!!!!! and we walked around alot. I, of course took pictures whenever possible.

Upon arrival Friday night we checked into our hotel...which was nice, and then headed out to EAT. Landry's was our first stop...Fried Zucchini with lemon and parmeson...yum...We had a table by the river which was so nice. Makes it a whole new experience. After supper we walked and then took a tour boat. The river tour is nice at night. Everything is nice all lit up. ( and it is alot cooloer). After our tour we went to Starbucks for coffee. Love that place. Again, we sat by the river while we drank.

Next morning we did McD's for breakfast and then back to the riverwalk to stroll around. They had a small arts and crafts thing going and Ronnie bought me one of those wooden roses. It even matched my shirt so I carried it around most of the day. hee.

While strolling in a more remote spot, I noticed a tour boat and they all seem to be looking at us...of course in my mind I am thinking, just keep walking..and then the guide said "On the count of 3...1...2...3...then the entire boat yelled "kiss her!!!!!!!!!" Ronnie turned red but then we obliged. ha, ha.

For lunch it was Casa Rio so I could feed the ducks. Such fun. We had ducks, tiny birds, and pigeons all feasting on our chips. One duck even brought her babies. So cute ! Feeding them was more fun than eating. I have an insane number of duck photos though...ha. They seemed necessary at the time.

After lunch we went back to our room as it looked like rain and no sooner than we got there...IT POURED. We watched people scurry from our balcony and enjoyed watching the rain from high up. Nice...

We then got ready for our NICE evening out. We had reservations at the Tower of the America's and Ronnie wanted to go to church first. So we went to church at 6:15 and then hiked over to the tower for our 8 o'clock dinner. The place was so nice. The waiter kept straightening our forks and napkins every time we messed them up. Too funny.

Since we got there at 8 we saw daylight, dusk, and night. Night was my favorite. Lots of colored lights all over town. The whole thing took almost two hours and we had so much fun living the "good life" for a while. After supper we went up a little further to the observation deck and then headed back to our room to change shoes before we walked around the river again.

It was crowded on the riverwalk and we were too hot for coffee so we ended up at Chili's bar and I got an awesome virgin strawberry daquiri...tasted like puree' fresh strawberries. SOOOO GOOD.

All in all we just enjoyed being together with no kids, no stress, no work, and no set schedule...just relaxing and eating. hee. We even found a lady that does sand art and we watched her and she made me a custom "pig" one for my pig collection. It was amazing how easy she made it look.

Sundy we went back to Austin. We had lunch at Carl Jrs and then shopped around. Once I was done with my shopping we still had 2 hours to kill before church so Ronnie decided to LOOK through Rooms to Go...he looked right at me and said we would NOT be buying, just looking.

My new living room set is to be delivered on June 10. hee.

After church we went to Red Lobster before returning to reality. It was good and we had fun. I am ready to go again.
